5 days in Sedona - 2 in Scottsdale with multiple food allergies – need help!
There are four of us traveling but the choice of restaurants is with me, because I have food allergies. I am trying to pick restaurants where the kitchen and staff can identify the ingredients in food they are serving. We would like to have a few really good meals but we are not looking for every night to be better than the last. In the past, trying a new restaurant that was less expensive often meant I ate just a salad for dinner. There is a fine line here between breaking our co-travelers banks and me starving. Could really use some help!
I am anxious of places where I cannot read the menu in advance; see some reviews that tell me it is decent. On the travel sites a lot of the reviews are phony to increase the ratings, leaving me to wonder which ones are truly good.A lot of the choices below are hunches- no guarantees they will work. Here is what I have so far – tell me what you think...
We are doing a Pink Jeep Tour on Sunday morning and will be looking for brunch/lunch before going to Doe Mountain. So far Ken’s Creekside, Tii Gavo any other options suggestions?
Sedona for dinners: Elote Cafe, Cucina Rustica, Heartline Café, Harry’s Hideaway (Cornville)
In Jerome: 15 Quince
In Scottsdale: Lon’s at the Hermosa (our 25th wedding anniversary) need a second night’s restaurant in Scottsdale not so expensive. Planning one lunch at Vermont Sandwich.
I am allergic to Soy (protein – not the oil), potatoes, sesame, walnuts and almonds. Gluten is not a problem for me. The soy is the most difficult as it is in almost everything but especially in most breads. I am hopeful that Sedona Memories bread will be soy free and I have found Wildflower has three options that fit my needs; this should cover most of the lunches. It not that difficult if the chef and kitchen are helpful.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Besides finding food, I am really looking forward to Arizona!

I have a couple of recommendations in the Arcadia neighborhood, based on a recent visit to my MiL who has allergies, and was on a pretty restrictive diet. Beckett's Table http://beckettstable.com/menu/ and La Grande Orange http://www.lagrandeorangegrocery.com/... I think LGO has a more expansive menu than is shown online, plus there are related restaurants, and I think they do their own baking.
