  1. I'm bumping this up as I'm considering going to Family Recipe this week. Menu looks great. Does it deliver?

Yeah, it's a good little neighborhood place. I find the food there is much better dining at the resto than getting delivery - some things just don't travel well in takeout containers, though I understand restaurants wanting to expand their options any way they can in this economy. But it's a cute place, food is tasty, bright and fresh. Nice place to have in the 'hood.

I think Oliverstreet meant "deliver" as in "living up to the promise of the menu descriptions" rather than "bringing things to your apartment in little containers".

I think this is a cute place that's interesting and fun. It definitely is NOT major-league. It is NOT worth traveling to. It IS worth dropping into if you're around.

I liked the brussels sprouts with miso butter, ginger shiitake mushroom dumplings, tofu hijiki scramble rice bowl, and the smoked pineapple rice pudding.

      3. I watched the chef lose in the final of a chopped episode to someone from NOLA (owner of Boucherie which we like a lot). She did a great job on that one
