Taqueria El Fuego closed for good?

This is the one on the corner of campbell and plano road in richardson.
Are they closed for good?
I went there about once every 2 weeks in the past 1.5 months and they are always closed.
The first time that I saw they were closed, there was a notice out front saying that they were taking family vacation for 1 week.
But now the notice is gone and they are still closed

Anyone tried there recently?

Awww, I'm kind of pissed. All my coworkers had the same expression of disbelief when I told them.

Sad news, indeed. I would imagine it was their "off the beaten track" location that did them in. Their food was some of the best Mexican cooked in Dallas. I, and others will surly miss them.

The weird thing is, they always have customers. Not out-to-the-street lining up customers, but lunch time customers are steady, and on weekends I saw a lot of catering/to-go customer.

Might be some other reason. Hopefully just a long vacation :(

According to the owner's son Ayax, they're done for good - he said he might try to start a new one in the future, but there are no plans in place.

hmm actually I've seen it just about lined up outside before at lunch. I think they don't do enough business the rest of the time though.
