Park Slope to Sunset Park area, child friendly rec with really good food - Please help!

Hi,

We are having family over on Saturday and I have decided to outsource the food. I haven't decided whether we will order in or go out, but I am open to suggestions.

We will have 8 kids (ages 5-10) and 5 adults, so I am looking for a low key, marginally roomy and tolerant place. Tacos Matamoros is the *type* of place I am thinking of, but we had a not terrific experience last time we were there and I don't think my husband is keen on returning.

If you can think of a low key restaurant with good food and drinks (drinks are kind of key since God help us we will have 8 kids with us) in the Park Slope ish area, I would love to hear any and all suggestions.

PSBKLYN on Union St just off 7th AVE caters to kids and parents. They have a supervised game room downstairs, video screens in the booths and decent food the kids and parents will enjoy.

Is very good pizza (and calzones) an OK dinner? If so try Giuseppina's in the South Slope. No spirits, however, only Wine and beer. Very child friendly. I *assume* that they would take a reservation for 13.

I was also going to suggest Giuseppina's. Love it, as I love Lucali. It's charming and delicious. Menu is limited, as are the drinks, as bobjbkln noted. They were so nice to our son when we were there. We felt very welcome.

Enzo's on Prospect Park West in Windsor Terrace. Pretty good family style Italian. Excellent brick oven pizzas. Cheap drinks. What's not to love?

La Villa has good but not great food. I find it to be reliable and a food value. The menu would please kids, and they are accustomed to big groups. Another possibility is Bogota especially if you go early.
