As with NYC there are many choices with many different price points and cuisines. Some of my favorites not in any order would be:
Island Creek Oyster Bar., Kenmore Square.. Very good seafood, excellent cocktails and good service. Reservation required most nights.
Mistral, Columbus Ave. Beautiful dining room with excellent food and service.
Scampo, Liberty Hotel. The Liberty Hotel used to be the Charles St. jail. Scampo is an Italian accented restaurant with great food and equally great atmosphere. Try the lobster pizza or the Elephant Ear Walking.
Towne & Stove Boylston St.near the Hynes Convention Center. One of the new hot spots co-owned by two of Boston's celebrity chefs, Lydia Shire and Jasper White.
O-Ya Close to South Station: Japanese restaurant with high quality food but at an equally high price. If you go with an Omakase course you won't be diappointed but depending on what you drink expect to pay at least $150/per person.
Hope you enjoy!
