"Tous au Restaurant" week/Gastro festival in Paris - worth checking out??

I'll be traveling to Paris with my husband from the 23rd-26th, first time there. Paris by Mouth mentioned that a "Restaurant Week" type of event was happening while we will be there, with a gastronomy festival that Friday.

Can anyone give me some info on this? Is this a good deal? I know Restaurant Week in my town (Phila.) is somewhat frowned upon, but as this is my first time in Paris, I thought it would be a good thing to look into. Any recommendations, at least ones I can get a reservation for?
