Needed: Friday brunch for a special occasion

  • 8

Can anyone recommend a place that serves brunch on Friday? Even better, a brunch spot that also serves champagne? It's a special occasion. ;)

Thanks so much in advance!

  1. Friendly Toast in Kendall, cambridge? I would not otherwise recommend it, but we went on the last day of school after a difficult school year around 11, and I had a great mimosa. The place is empty then and serves breakfast all day.

you can also get breakfast all day along with drinks at the S&S in Inman, cambridge, but I'd recommend that even less.

    1. What about Deep Ellum in Allston? Pretty good food in a small pub setting. Their focus is on beer, but they do have wine and champagne, and also some nice cocktails.

      1. I'm not sure how you are defining "brunch" (hours? menu items?), but Henrietta's Table in the Charles Hotel has a great weekday breakfast menu. Certainly fancier than most breakfasts around town and you might be able to swing the champagne thing given their location in the hotel.......

          1. Brunch in Back Bay Breakfast Hours
            Met Back Bay 8-11am
            Braisserie Jo 8-11am
            Champions
            Max Brenner 9-12am
            Pour House 8-11am
            Oak Long Bar 8-11:30am

            1. there are two places in Kendall square, other than waht's already been mentioned here. Neither of which is high end but serve buffett style if that's what you're after: The Marriott hotel, restaurant called champions and across the street at the kendall Hotel, the Black Sheep cafe. both have buffets and bar service.

              1. eastern standard serves breakfast til 11ish and starts serving booze at 8:00 am. (do not ask how i know that.)

nicer hotels, like the 4 seasons, will offer breakfast and booze too.
