Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Boston (and suburbs)

Need recommendation

as we are headed to the Riverside Theatre Works on Fairmount St in Hyde Park. Want light pre-theater dinner and would prefer to be in walking distance to theater. Also, dessert suggestions for afterwards, before the trip back to NH.

  1. Two hyde park places that are somewhat chowish are African Cuisine (Senegalese) and Ron's Gourmet Ice Cream and Bowling Alley.

      I highly recommend the following, which are right on the same block as the Theatre Works. All 3 are really good, and have light bar menus as well as full dinners.

      In Cleary Square is Annabelle's, which is also good:

      Note that Ron's Ice Cream really only has hot dogs and pizza slices. And The African Cuisine has closed.
