STL - fried Calf Brain sandwich - does any, preferably tavern type, place still serve it?
it used to be a specialty, and now that mad-cow has sorta gone away, and my palate is more adventurous, I tried to do pig brains (all I could find) once in college but had no idea of the technique, it was awful. I'd like to give calf another shot.

Every time I try to give blood the Red Cross informs me that the possibility of mad cow won't be going away for me for at least 30 more years...it makes me feel much less bad about my badly-funded retirement account when I consider that I may yet end up all spongy-brained & won't care if I'm broke...do you think the Red Cross now asks, "Do you have any tattoos?" "Any recent piercings?" "And do you enjoy a nice fried cow brain for lunch once in a while?"
