Restaurant Crawl - Home Base NYC London
Greetings all. We will stay at NYC London in the upcoming months and would like to do one night of appetizers/drinks at several different spots. I would appreciate recommendations that might allow us to walk (4 ppl) and stop in to four or five different spots one evening. We all love food and I want the accompanying couple to see some nice NYC spots (both decor and food presentation). We will do this mid week, but I want to be sure we probably (I know no one can say for sure) will not have an issue getting a table at the bar at surrounding restaurants. Budget is not a huge concern since 45 minutes-an hour at each spot should minimize the financial damage (we are not sitting down for $200/pp meal...just apps and wine/drinks). Any/all recommendations appreciated. Thank you so much.

Near your hotel, you could drop in at the bars/lounges at Le Bernardin, The Modern, Marea, Nougatine (adjacent to Jean Georges, serving the full JG menu at the bar), and Per Se (jacket required).
If you're extending your radius to the Lincoln Center area, then also consider the bars at Lincoln, Picholine, Telepan, Boulud Sud, and Bar Boulud.
Maze at The London is good but perhaps a notch below the restaurants that I peviously mentioned.
