An Italian restaurant serving Tuscan cuisine in Manhattan?

  • 4

Hey guys,

I'm looking for an Italian restaurant in Manhattan serving Pappa al Pomodoro. It's a type of Tuscan stew with bread and tomatoes. I saw online through Zagat that one restaurant, Pepolino, had it, but upon visiting their website, I found out they did not. Any suggestions?! I'm going in October and any other great restaurant suggestions are also appreciated.

  1. Pomodoro Rosso in the Upper West Side serves Pappa al Pomodoro. I haven't been there but for what it's worth the Yelp reviews seem pretty good.

Pomodoro Rosso is a huge fail.

    2. You may want to call Pepolino, it could be a special which wouldn't be on the Web site, or they might just make it for you if you ask. They're very nice there.

Yeah maybe I will. I just read a review on their website raving about how good it was there so I can't imagine they wouldn't have it now.
