Question on Mariage Fereres Teas

How can I find out the ingredients in the teas..some teas are self explanatory...for instance Marco Polo is described and fruity and floral and on the tin it says nothing about what fruits or flowers it tastes like. I don't think it says it on their website and if you buy it at Dean and Deluca, etc. they don't know either. I bought the Marco Polo tea...it was okay but I think I'm tasting a bit of rose, maybe a hint of vanilla and currents...not sure...I would not buy this tea again. It's okay, but next time I would like to know just what the "fruits/florals" are. Other than buying a straight black tea, how can I get this information?

I imagine the ingredients are a trade secret. However, you may check out Upton Tea Imports, which is a domestic company that sells a huge variety of tea. Their catalog, both in print and on-line, has very detailed descriptions of the flavors. Additionally, their customer service was really impressive (I've only placed one order, albeit a large order), so if you talked to them, I bet they'd be willing to lend you a hand. Their list of teas rivaled the list I get at Mariage Freres in their tea salons in Paris.

Really...good to know. One thing about the Marco Polo though...it was very "smooth"
