Lunch between Borden and Charlottetown?

Off to Charlottetown tomorrow and was wondering what anybody's favorite lunch spots were between Borden and Charlottetown. Since PEI's not huge we'd be willing to wander off-track a bit in search of something as well.

There is a little place on Hgwy 1 near Crapaud - I think it's called Anna's - good homestyle cooking. It will be on the right hand side near the Scotiabank. Or, you could leave the highway and head into Victoria-by-the-Sea and go to the Landmark Cafe.

      Hey tartytatin,

We were gone by the time you replied to my original post but were back this past weekend and checked out Ana's Country Kitchen. Unfortunately we were too late in the day to sample their specials for the day - a fried haddock dinner or hot pork sandwich - but did take advantage of their soup and sandwich offer. Really good stuff. I've probably had better soup, but I wouldn't be able to tell you where or when - truly homemade, lots of flavor, and really nicely balanced. Went perfectly with a BLT. Next time we'll get there early enough for the specials - based on the quality of the soup, I'm really sorry i missed that hot pork sandwich. Thanks very much for the recommendation.

The Landmark Cafe is excellent as well. And, although it is off the highway, it isn't far. It is only about 4-5 minutes to get to the cafe from the highway. And that is during traffic!
