Brunch Dish to Bring to Friend's House

My friend has invited my husband and I over for Brunch this Sunday. She will be making Creme Brulee French Toast. I am wondering what I can/should bring with us to enjoy also. Maybe something with fruit and/or a dessert? Thanks!

I've had this in my recipe file for a long time without finding the right opportunity to try it.

Might be too similar to the hosts' french toast. Or maybe it would be a nice slice of something to go along with it.

Ask your friend what you should bring. If she didn't specifically ask you to bring anything she might have a perfect menu in mind and the dish you bring without consultation might conflict with what she is cooking.

If she still insists that you needn't bring anything then take something that will complement whatever she makes - a bottle of bubbles and some orange juice for Bucks Fizz, or peach nectar/puree for Bellinis. Or a luxury coffee or tea/tisane for afterwards.

i was thinking protein and fruit as well... like prosciutto wrapped melon with herbs and salt?

or a honey lime fruit salad

        or watermelon and feta salad

Emme: what herbs for the proscuitto/melon? I've used lemon zest, but that's all, and I love your idea.

i have a few different variations i like...

with a lemon tarragon syrup drizzle
or basil and a reduced balsamic
or mint is simple... though not my fave.

also saw these fruit, and thought they were very cute! ...course i'd add a bit of reduced balsamic along with or instead of the honey

What about something nice like spicy caramelized thick-cut bacon strips? You could make in advance and re-warm in a low oven, or if space was available could bake it there. I'd round out with a fruit platter. The main is very dessert-y already.
You could also do a really nice sausage/spinach patty.

Lovely, you can bring that bacon to my house anytime!

Fruit kabobs with yogurt dip would be a nice compliment.
I'd hesitate to bring a sweet bread like banana bread because of your main.
Will your hosts be serving a savory protein like sausage or bacon?

I love this idea, I can make my own fruit arrangement bouquet!
