Visitor looking for Good Chinese Buffet

Will be visiting a group of relatives and they like a good Chinese buffet in Hollywood/Hallandale area. Looking for something with good variety and where they keep the food fresh (ie. food doesn't sit out under lamps for a long time).

Does anything like this exist in the area? I am not familiar with the restaurant scene in South Florida and they don't eat out much.

Any help would be appreciated.

We rarely go up into that area anymore, but there used to be an Emerald Coast Chinese Buffet in Sunrise that was certainly an order of magnitude better then the average Chinese buffet. The quality was stellar, but from what I remember it was a bit pricey too and worth it.

Is Emerald Coast still in Sunrise? I thought they went out. However, I believe there still is an Emerald Coast in the North Miami Beach area

I haven't been up that way in several years Zook, so it may very well be closed. The Sunny Isle location that came up looks very much the same as I remember the Sunrise location. I don't know if they are related, but the Sunny Isle location lists in the Best Of categories in many polls. If it's no longer in Sunrise, it's a shame.

Passed by a couple of weeks ago and it's gone. There is a sign saying that Philip Ho's Chinese Dim Sum is coming soon. I believe the guy is from Setai. Hopefully it will be a good dimsum place!

Does not really exist.... Golden city which recently opened in Hallandale rots....Ginza in NMB which was good when it opened has gone downhill......best bets Mikano in Plantation or Kyogin in Fort Lauderdale .... both owned by the same people

surely good chinese buffet is an oxymoron? Have not found any in South Florida nor even a good Chinese restaurant.

crazy buffet 20 bucks i-95 and palm bch lks blvd includes crab legs, stone crabs and individual filet mignon plus sushi, go hungry

I think you are confusing Stone crabs for Jonah crab claws they look very similar but have a much different taste!

Regardless, the Crazy Buffet is excellent. First time we went, their sushi was unremarkable, but in a month or so, it went way up in quality and flavor. the seafood buffet is excellent and well priced at $20. The place is just west of I-95 on south side of the blvd a short distance past La Quinta hotel

many people like p.o.c. buffet in weston and the gables. it's pan asian i suppose. it's better than the others. anyway, i don't love it. hong kong city's probably the best chinese in broward. used to be tied w/ silver pond. chinese buffets suck.

Quality of the snow crab legs and sushi hit or miss. ribs which were terrible when they opened got good now so so
