North End private dining for 25-30?

  • 3

Helping a colleague in Minnesota coordinate a dinner in the North End for a group of 25-30 who will be in Boston for business. They are staying at the Fairmont Battery Wharf, and I'm told many are "foodies". She had read about Piccolo Nito (I haven't been) - your thoughts? Any suggestions welcome! Bricco? Lucca?

I did check previous posts, but none I found were recent.

Thanks!

  1. Haven't been to either Bricco or Lucca, but I'll put in a plug for Mamma Maria's, right near the Paul Revere House. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food and service are excellent. Check out their website, the private rooms are lovely.

Enjoy where ever you end up. :)

    1. We had a group dinner for 15 people in June at Ricardo's on North Street. We were up on the second floor. Service was great, the Pollo Exquisito is absolutely delicious and the prices were very reasonable.

      1. Did you want a private space? If so, I would suggest looking at Taranta. It has a nice top floor (with some views) that probably holds about 40 max. I've been to several private parties there and would reccomend it.

I don't particularly like the food at Lucca. Bricco has a loud, exciting bar scene if you are looking for that type of atmosphere.
