Dallas - Ft. Worth

Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in Dallas-Ft. Worth area.

Need someplace nice IN McKinney. Not, ON McKinney.

Need your help 'hounder's. I have a date in McKinney this Saturday night and I want to take her someplace decent.
Steak, Italian, Japanese, Mexican? As long as the food is good and the ambience is more "upscale" than "divey". What do you recommend? No chain's, please.

I have only eaten lunch there but it was very good. There is also that steak house on the square. I also like Zin Zen wine bar although not much of a dinner menu.

La Duni in Fairview is open now if you are willing to drive a few minutes south of Mckinney.

    1. I haven't been to Gregory's Bistro since they moved from downtown Plano to the square in McKinney, but the couple of times I'd dined there, I enjoyed it.

That's where I was thinking of going, Jim. Thanks.

      2. I had my wedding rehersal dinner and an awesome anniversary dinner the following year, at Ricks Chophouse. They have a nice little bar too, with live music sometimes. It's a very swank, cool ambience, but pretty affordable. The Grand Hotel is right there too, you know, if the dates a success. Ha.

Rick's is definitely a contender. Thank you. And, I love the way you think!

I love Rick's and the Grand Hotel...strolling around the square would definitely be a great place for a date.
