Best food near Rittenhouse?

I'm a new york chowhound visiting Philly for work. Will be solo but looking for some amazing food near the Rittenhouse hotel this week. Any recommendations? Amazing food is what I am looking for.

Agree on A,Kitchen. My other RS favs are Parc for French bistro and Tinto for Basque tapas. We used to like Audrey Claire, but seldom go becaus of their no res policy.

One other place close to Rittenhouse that should be added is ....the Dandelion.. including their fish and chips, their pork belly (may be discontinued), their burger, their sticky toffee pudding, their good selection of well poured cask ales and their whisky selection make it a worthwhile destination.

The pork belly was amazing... it has been off the menu but hopefully will return for the fall!

Watch out for Restaurant Week! It will jam up a lot of restaurants to unreasonably full!

But, the silver lining is that Village Whiskey is TAKING RESERVATIONS during Restaurant Week (don't worry, they're not participating). http://www.citypaper.net/blogs/mealti...

Oops, I forgot about RW. Yeah, if a place is participating in RW, you're probably better off staying away. Also some of the places I listed may be closed on Mondays.

Restaurant Week strikes again, making it hard for people who just want a good meal to eat out in Center City.

All very good choices but nobody mentioned Tria so I will add that to the mix as well. And don't forget it's a short walk to the dining offerings on 13th St. I do know that the pizzas at Zavino are great and they are not involved in the RW mayhem.

Another thumbs up for Lacroix. Their brunch is fabulous! We have enjoyed great dinners there as well.

A second on the Rittenhouse Sunday brunch. Reserve now. And don't pig out at the raw bar! There's soooo much more and you'll regret it.

How many meals are you looking for? There are a lot of great restaurants in walking distance or a short cab/transit ride (5-10 min).

Your hotel has amazing brunch on Sunday mornings btw.
