MarcElla hazan garlic scented tomato salad

I have made many of Marcella Hazan's recipes over the years but never her garlic scented tomato salad until this weekend. A friend insisted I try it. I was low on time so skipped peeling the tomatoes. The dressing was amazing- we all used bread to sop it up! Has anyone else made this and should I peel the tomatoes next time? Also are there other must try salad recipes in her books?
