Mara's Homemade in Syosset

Has anyone tried Mara's Homemade in Syosset ? I know that there was a Mara's in the East Village that closed. I was told it is owned by the same peopel. It appears to have a Louisiana Style menu.

went the week it opened

had a bucket of crawfish, and something else Louisiana style, can't remmeber what; nothing special

I went there once. The Gator Bites were unimpressive--there was so little meat compared to batter, you couldn't really tell what was inside. Brisket and beef ribs were *very* dry.

I don't usually rule a place out after one visit, but this didn't bode well.
