Quiet, But Good Food: Expanding Search to NE PHILLY

Hi again, CH's. No luck yet in Glenside/Elkins Park area, so we are expanding search to
NE PHIlly.

Any reports on the excellent place on Rising Sun, near Rhawn, whose name escapes me?
I know they have smallish rooms/alcoves, and food used to be great, if pricey.

Relative quiet is important to family. this is tough on a Saturday night. Thai, Chinese, Italian, seafood all great. Smaller neighborhood site with good food would be fine; casual is fine.

Moonstruck should be perfect for you.
We go there every few months. It's worth the trek from center city.
The small rooms are intimate and it is always quiet enough to talk.
The food and service are excellent. (if anyone likes calves liver, this is the place to get it - it's the best.)
They even have a parking lot.

Moonstruck is a local institution in the Fox Chase area on Oxford Avenue, close to the Five Points intersection. Very good italian food. That may be the one you are thinking of. Haven't been in a few years, but it always was nice.

Same area up the street you have Hop Angel for German style food, across the street from the great butcher shop Riekersl. They even have an upstairs area which can be reserved for private parties. Up the street over the border in Rockledge Austrian Village has nice food as well.

Yes! It was indeed MOnstruck. I will check it out. Family very specific about what kind of cuisine they wanted: basically Thai, Chinese, Italian or seafood. Thanks!
