Hi there -- does anyone know of a store in San Francisco (ideally) that carries the Rick Bayless Frontera product line of sauces, etc.? I am visiting a family member soon and they are not sold in Canada and I want to bring some along. Thanks for any and all tips! Have a great weekend.

  1. I bet the Frontera restaurant in Macy's Cellar downtown will have some of his products.

    1. i've purchased his chipotle hot sauce at Whole Foods. you should call ahead because the last time i was buying hot sauce there a month or so back i didn't see it.

Found a few of the salsas at Whole Foods about a week ago.

Just saw them at WF San Mateo. Thanks to this thread, I picked up a few pouches.

      2. in the past, have spotted them in Bevmo, but that might vary store by store ; that Bevmo was in oaktown/jack london.

        1. Safeway carries them. Andronicos does.

              1. I've seen them at Cost Plus World Market on the Peninsula.

                  1. Sounds like a nice gift. They could always go on-line and order directly off the Frontera Grill website, barring import restrictions.

                    1. Just bought salsa at Berkeley WF. They had several types. I got the Chipotle labelled hot, it's not. Maybe should have got the Habenero.

Yeah, the Chipotle hot sauce is pretty tame too, but I do like the smokey flavor. I use it mainly in Bloody Marys ;-)

                      2. Hi Chowhounds! Thanks so much for all the great ideas...I was able to find the products I wanted at Andronico's and Mollie Stone's. I really appreciate the feedback...love that all these great local experts are available to answer a question. I am off to Canada with enchilada sauces and salsas in the suitcase! Thanks everyone -- have a great week!
