Need some good italian on eastside - recommendations?

Not looking to spend cafe Juanita money, and please dont say Tropea as I found the food to be subpar when we went there. Any other recommendations?

our goto quality italian on the eastside(when not splurging at CJ)is Firenze at crossroads in bellevue. not actually in the mall but on the outer rim, we love the food, service and an excellent wine list. the chicken and veal marsalla are top notch.

Cantinetta has opened a second restaurant, in Bellevue, on Main Street. I have only been to the Walingford one, but we liked it as did the young couple (20 somethings) we sent there.

        Our favorite is http://www.ristoranteparadiso.com/
They always remember our favorites and the service is excellent.

We like Italianissimo very much. Certainly both the food and the service are better than Tropea, in our experience, and the atmosphere is much more relaxing and less cramped and frenetic. The food may not be up to Cafe Juanita levels but neither are the prices. Check out their Meatball Mondays and Sausage Fridays, all housemade.

Their half-price apps during happy hour are a good way to check out some dishes to see if you like the food.
