Bottom Dollar Food - new grocery store

I've been hearing commercials for Bottom Dollar coming to my area, touting a "walk-in vegetable cooler" wide aisles, great selection and cheap prices. Just the name makes me a little... hesitant... It makes me think "cut rate" and "low quality".

Anyone have this store? what are your impressions?

It is very bare bones. Selection is very limited, usually store brand and one or two national brands of a product. The produce isn't the best. If you are looking for basics, peanut butter, cereal, etc. prices are very good. I sometimes stop in for pantry goods because of the prices, but avoid their fresh produce/meat. I don't know if it is just my store, but many items on the shelf are cery close to or past their expiration dates. They are under the same corporate umbrella as Bloom and Hannaford-sort of the poor cousin.

Thanks for the info Sherri! I may stop by just to browse thru when I'm looking for pantry items then. :)
