Hey everyone
Im trying to plan a get together with some friends and looking for an inexpensive but good meal with the following requirements:

Approximately 25 $ pp for food
Has to have peanut free options
Has to have sufficient vegetarian options
Has to be subway accessible
Large enough to seat maybe 6 at one table
Not like a milestones type place please

Any good suggestions? Thank you all in advance!!

My favourite "inexpensive but good" restaurant is Carpano. It's not too far from the subway (not by my own standards anyway, College/Bathurst), has veggie options, and although it's small I'm sure they could do a table for 6. You'd want to call to check into how peanut-free their kitchen is though--they usually serve at least one peanut dish (ice cream).

I find places where you share your food often end up the cheapest and most fun for groups. Perhaps Ethiopian, I don't *think* they use peanuts. Dukem near Donlands station comes to mind. They do a great vegetarian platter which perhaps could be served on separate injera from the meat.

I think that Tabule would fit the bill! It is a great friends dinner type location IMO.

I agree with Tabule. Just went there for dinner with friends on Tuesday (one who is a vegetarian) and I think it meets all of your requirements! We spent about 18-20 pp and it is right near Davisville subway station....and importantly, we all enjoyed the food!

I'll second both Carpano and Tabule as totally different, but both very good options.

93 Harbord would be another good option, a bit pricier than the other two, but still in the range you ask for.

Indeed! All very good options and I don't think you could go wrong with any of the three.

I always like the Queen Mother Cafe for casual get-togethers.
