Hi there,
I'd like to suggest a place for friends who are looking for a nice sit down place (they're vegetarian), with live music. They are in the their 60's, and prob prefer some placey not too divey, but with a nicer ambiance. They iive in Lakeway but wouldnt mind traveling to downtown. Thanks!

my $.02. Find a nice vegetqrain place, then go somewhere else to hear the music. I don't know of vegetarian places noted for their live music.

This could be tricky, but two things that came to mind:

Blue Dahlia has great vegetarian options and live classical guitar on the weekends (not sure what the actual schedule is).

Jovita's has decent vegetarian options and live music, too.

I'd agree that you're better off separating the dining from the music.

Artz' Rib house. Early music and good food. Get the grilled vegetables and sides...quite good. Or talk some sense into them turn them onto the baby back ribs.

I can't think of many veg-friendly places with live music either. But I avoid music...

The one that comes to mind is Threadgills. Their veg options are mostly limited to the sides, but they're well-known for their sides. Pharas has belly dancing (which isn't really music) on the weekends and good vegetarian options. It's BYOB. The Parlor pizza has live music and veg options, but it's pretty divey, the music is punk, and you order at the counter.
