Mom and Dad's 60th anniversary dinner in Metro Baltimore

We planning a 60th anniversary dinner for my folks. They may be getting old, but they still enjoy a good meal. I haven't lived in Baltimore for many years so I'm out of touch.

Ideas????

I recently had dinner at Cinghiale and found it to be excellent. We were there fairly early in the evening, so the dining area was pretty quiet. We had exceptionally good service, and the food was absolutely wonderful.

If you consider Howard County to be Metro Bmore, you might consider Tersiguel's. Very classy, wonderful French food, and great service. Appropriate for young and old, anyone who enjoys a good meal in a nice old house.

Tersiguel's is a great place--but make sure you reserve a place downstairs.

Good point, forgot about that. Upstairs has zero ambiance. I mean none whatsoever.

From what I saw in the Sun yesterday, the downstairs has mostly water right now.

Tersiguel's should be OKK--it's way up the hill from the Patapsico (as we locals say). Do check, tho

I'd second Charleston if you're looking for the most exquisite experience-- top of the notch food, an amazing wine list, and stellar service. If your parents love Italian, I agree that Cinghiale would also be an excellent choice-- the food never disappoints, and while it's not as fancy as Charleston, it is still a very "fine dining" experience.
While Linwoods seems to attract an older crowd, it doesn't seem special enough for a 60th celebration.

Charleston is the best place in town. Oregon Grille is a good place for old folks--I take my 90 yr old mother there a lot. The Prime Rib is too noisy for many old people, but Cinghiale also works, as does Linwoods--many elderly people go there. Shame on you for not taking the parents out in Baltimore more often
