Thanks for this link Kpzoo, this is exactly the info I have been searching for for a year +. I'd really like to take an in-depth series of cooking classes - I am interested in French cuisine because I love eating it but know very little about preparing it. The sauces course at the Academie Culinaire is tempting me. There's also a 3 week Japanese cuisine course that I'm going to check into further. And the Italian class at the little shop on Dante!

Had a quick question. Does anyone know if there is someone that offers a butcher type course? A class where you can learn how to cut different types of meat (for example, a whole chicken or turkey).

If anyone has any info, please let me know.

Appetite for Books in Westmount has knife skills classes and their second level shows you how to cut and debone a whole chicken-don't know if that helps.

has anybody here taken a bread making class? i'd like to get one for my husband. he's been working on it for a while, but he's never had anybody actually show him techniques.

I'm pretty sure this is where my friend took a class last year. She brought me some of her "homework" and it was delish!
