My 21st birthday is coming up at the end of September and I need great ideas of things to do for my birthday in the Los Angeles area. Since my birthday is on a Sunday I was going to go out on Saturday night and then celebrate at midnight; however, some of my friends are underage. Are there any great venues or shows that would be a fun night out for my friends and I where everyone can celebrate? Thanks!

We have an important 21st b'day coming up in November, so after much thought...
I would definitely celebrate on Sunday, esp with some of your friends being underage.
You know this is SoCal and most places are closed by midnight, even on Sat.
This is SoCal! Sundays are really fun along PCH. (Traffic can be a little thick,
but not too bad, as it is after Labor Day. There are many places to stop:
If you can afford to drop 'a little' money, make a reservation at Geoffrey's in Malibu.
That would work either Sat. nite or Sunday.
Malibu Seafood can be fun with a group, and definitely Paradise Cove is an option,
drinks and eats on the beach.
The other place is along Abbott Kinney Blvd.
I'd personally enjoy lurching at the Museum!

drinking then driving on PCH: not what i'd recommend unless one of the underage people actually doesn't imbibe and acts at the designated driver. lots of fatalities and lots of cops on PCH.

where are most of you located, so we can figure out close venues?
if you lived near me, i'd recommend the gastropub The Tripel even though it's normally packed.
they serve wine and beer. they definitely will let underage people in to eat and join the party.
it's next door to a bar that serves distilled liquor if someone needs that.

another advantage of celebrating on sunday is that there are some brunch spots that offer unlimited mimosas and places to walk afterwards while sobering up.

Actually we figured it out! We are going to see Matthew Morrison at the Grammy Museum and then celebrate my birthday at midnight at the Ritz Carlton which has lounges that everyone can go into. But for the actually day time the brunches sound great. Thank you soooo much!!!
