Late night good eats in Newport?
We will be in Newport for the weekend and are looking for some recommendations on good late night eats, and breakfast spots, and also cappuccino. We'll be in the area between John Wayne airport and the Newport Event Center/ Fashion Island. Extra points for healthy, organic type breakfast spots. I also like a good pizza, and all kinds of cuisine.

It is not Newport, but one of my favorite late night spots for food in Honda-Ya in Tustin. Japanese pub food, and small plates. They do have sushi, but it is limited and not really what they are known for.
As notes, Zinc is good, and they have locations in Corona Del Mar and Laguna.
It is not really "healthy," but arguably the best breakfast spot in OC is Break of Dawn.
The best coffee I know is Kean.

For breakfast, you might enjoy Old Vine or Pacific Whey. For pizza, Ecco (next to Old Vine in the Camp--which offers several other healthy/organic dining options--including the raw foods specialist 118 Degrees, in case you are looking), Il Dolce or the just opened branch of Pizzeria Mozza (my top choice). Of course, there is also True Foods in Fashion Island if you are a Dr. Weil fan.

for Pizza we love Pizzeria Ortica on Anton and Sunflower in costa mesa, excellent thin crust pizzas and I believe they have a pizza and drinks happy hour from 9 to 10 pm.-----
