The Fatted Calf -- Clayton, StL -- Still Open, Still Good

Driving by and saw the "Open" sign, so Dad and I decided to stop for a quick lunch. I ordered a cheddarburger, he a blue, both medium-rare. Burgers came properly pink through the middle, very juicy, buns grilled on the flames. Tasty and satisfying. 1/3-pound burgers with cheese are $6.25.

After a revival following an almost-demise a couple months ago they need the patronage. A great place, very reasonable prices for the heart of Clayton. You can eat there for the price of a Quiznos or Chipotle -- help a St. Louis independent. You'll be happy you did. Street parking or meters in the public lot across the street.

I just wander when I'm in town and did notice it a few weeks ago thinking "wow that's old school, they're still here?" but I never remember or notice the cross streets. can ya pin it down better?

It's Bemiston, just south of Forsyth (see map).

Agreed...another fan here. Support the independents...the chains have driven out a lot of independents in the Clayton area. Show FC some love!
