New to Columbus

  • 4

My wife & I just relocated to the Columbus area from Dayton/Cleveland (long story). Where should we be eating?

There are a ton of choices! What are you looking for and what areas? My favorite for a nice dinner out is The Worthington Inn. Steakhouse favorites are The Top, Hyde Park (on Old Henderson), and The Top. G. Michael's and Lindey's in German Village never disappoint me. T. Murray's in the Brewery District is a new, really good gastropub-type place. I'm sure you'll get tons of other recommendations, too. These are just a few.

      -----
      Lindey's
      169 E. Beck Street, Columbus, OH 43206

      Worthington Inn
649 High Street, Columbus, OH 43085

    2. Our favorite upscale choice so far is Rigsbys. Each time we try something new we end up back there.

We had an amazing brunch at Skillet a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait to head back.

Our favorite Indian so far has been Aab in Grandview heights. (But we have not tried many places.)

For Sushi, we like Akai Hana.

And if you haven't been to Jeni's, you're cheating your own self.

      -----
      Rigsby's Restaurant
698 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

      Akai Hana
1173 Kenny Centre Mall, Columbus, OH 43220

      Grandview Cafe
      1455 W 3rd Ave, Columbus, OH 43212

We are long-time Jeni's fans, ever since we first had it at The Winds in Yellow Springs. I even got to take an ice cream making class from her at the Easton Sur La Table. So, we were thrilled to discover that our new place is about 5 minutes from 2 different Jeni's locations. LOL.

Thanks for the recommendations, both of you. Lauren, we are wide-open in terms of interests and areas. I am excited to get started on these suggestions!
