The Big O liquor....

There is a ginger liquor based in St. Louis that is becoming popular. Here is a link about it and it quotes one of the more well known mixologists around town.


I was wondering if anyone could help me put together a Gin cocktail using this. My birthday is today and I am hoping to experiment.

All suggestions welcome and thanks.

    Use it instead of ginger ale/ginger beer in a "Gin Buck" ...

    In a highball glass:
    1.5 shots gin
    Half of a lemon or lime squeezed
    Fill glass with ice
    Add a shot of your ginger liqueur ....

          I was going to kind of base it on an Aviator. 2 oz gin, .5 oz lemon, maybe .5 - 1 oz O. May throw in a little Agava Nectar also.

      Here's the same idea from the famous Pegu Club in NYC. It is intended to be made with ginger beer, but this was my adaptation to use ginger liqueur:

      Gin-Gin Mule
      by Pegu Club

      1 1/2 oz Gin
      3/4 oz Lime
      1 oz Ginger liqueur
      8 lf Mint (leaves chopped)
      2 ds Orange bitters, Regans' orange bitters
      1 oz Seltzer water

      Muddle lime, simple & mint. Add gin. Shake. Pour into iced highball, top with ginger beer, stir, garnish.

        That looks very interesting. Thank you. I did try some last night. It seemed to get lost when I used it with Gin and lemon.
        When I upped the qty of o it was better. I also had some with a little gin and some ginger ale. That was prety tasty. I will have to experiment some more.
