Update on Greensboro restaurants requested
The information on good, local Greensboro restaurants is pretty old and it seems as though a lot of them have closed.
I am an Elon parent and I like to take my daughter and her friends out to a good meal when we're in town. Greensboro seems the closest place to do that.
I'm looking for well prepared, preferably local food- not more than about $30/person.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

In the Burlington area, B Christopher's is a nice local steakhouse., the Cutting Board has some nice items, and Prego's Trattoria is good for red sauce Italian.
In Greensboro, Printo Woks Bistro is excellent and uses a lot of local items - if you go, ask for Mark Henry as your waiter, you'll be in great hands. Green Valley Grill is Print Works sister restaurants with some nice local items. Some folks like Lucky 32's, I'm not one of them, unfocused service and inconsistent quality.
Basil and Company does some good small plate items - ask Seth about wine. MJs Steak and Seafood is excellent in the old Sweet Basil location is very good. And right down the road from it on Dolley Madison is Mark's, nearly opened, still working out the kinks. Table 16 is the best in town, in my opinion, but probably goes over your cost. Imperial Koi for sushi, Phoenis Asian for fusion Chinese, and some authentic dishes. Josphine's on Spring Garden is a nice little place with great service, and local items on the menu - had a garden out back all summer.

re: wreckers00
Marisol is excellent. Before Table 16 opened up at Undercurrent old spot, it was my favorite Greensboro restaurant. Still go there quite often. It is much like Table 16 it how creative the dishes and presentation are. The original chef/owner/inspiration died within the last year, and they are still adjusting, imo, but worth a visit.
Undercurrent can be excellent, but not as creative, still not a bad place for a good meal. MJs is one you may want to try. The chef/owner was the chef at Sweet Basil's, may it rest in peace.
