sushi omakase for birthday celebration - Mori or Asanebo?

Which do you reccomend for overall experience, please factor in value, ambiance, interactivity, price, quality etc. Not sure the price difference but assuming we are going for the top omakase. Thanks!

i would go with N/Naka in culver city, around $160 for biggest meal, and they have awesome sake/wine pairing too.

Mori, if I had to pick btwn the 2. Definitely sit at the sushi bar, not at a table.

Urasawa is pricey, but I still consider it a good value.

Is it a big deal that Mori was recently sold? Does chef Mori still work there?

Mori is still there - Tuesdays and Fridays.

NO detectable change in quality at Mori Sushi since change of ownership.

n/naka's Modern Kaiseki menu is $165 per person ($5 over your limit, which is why I didn't mention it). It is a fantastic meal, though.
