This is an interesting faq. Thanks.

Having an inquisitive mind, I find this sentence worthy of question:

"This means that it purchases its metals only from US suppliers,..."

      I would ask:

"Do the 'US suppliers' supply metals from overseas, or only metals made in the U.S.?"

I am not a big buyer of All-Clad, but am looking for 1 small piece, when I saw the information that confused me.

May be contact All-Clad with your question directly about the specific item you want to purchase.
It seems like the statements are careful not to say that the steel is produced in the USA

FYI...All-Clad Tri-ply and D5 (five ply found at williams sonoma) CopperCore, MasterChef and LTD2..baically all thier major cookware lines...ALL MADE IN THE USA...lids too.

However specialty items..some non-stick grills and gridles etc ...you can tell by the packaging...black box with red stripe..are made in China.

Agreed except their Emeril line witch is all made in China.
Finally found somewhere on their site that actually states that the steel is made in the USA http://www.all-clad.com/about-all-cla...
You would think that they would want to point that out a little more obviously.

Thanks for the link, and for your interest.

(It's just awful driving past Bethlehem Steel.)

Until recently, AC lids were made in China.

Are you saying that the lids are 'now' made in the US?

Yes, I am aware that the lid information generally did say that the lids were made in China.

I can understand this conflict (if it 'is' a conflict) with perhaps another website, but not with cooking.com which is pretty correct, most of the time.

Just wondering if the product (stainless steel) is from China now. Since the US does produce steel anymore, or am I mistaken about that?
