Milwaukee: Friday night fish fry
We are coming to Milwaukee for a wedding and have Friday night free. We are not familiar with the ccity but have heard quite a bit about Milwaukee "fish fries". We are staying downtown but will have a car and can travel. While there are several old postings on this board, none are very specific. Please include names of restaurants, churches, or any other places. We are excited about our visit!
Thanks in advance.

Kegel's (suburban Milwaukee in West Allis)
Clifford's (suburban Milwaukee in Hales Corners)
Both will be packed so you are best off going either early or late.
Those are two of the best and where we take out of town guests.
I'll bet the reception at Lakefront Brewery will be a lot of fun!

Not sure if you have an atmosphere in mind… I really don’t think you would need to travel much out of downtown unless you had something specific you were hoping to get out of your fish fry. :)
I like County Clare Irish Pub on Astor for a pub/restaurant.
For more of a fish fry event, Lakefront Brewery is fun. Maybe not the best fish fry food wise, but it is good (just not great) and the atmosphere makes up for it I think and if you drink beer at all, you should definitely visit a brewery when in Milwaukee.

If you get there early, you wont have to wait as long ! All you can eat fish and the Best chicken around ( also all you can eat)! We get the combo so we can have both.... Only open on Wednesday and Friday. You won't be disapointed................Only about 12 miles from downtown MIlwaukee. Ultra safe neighborhood.
