Restaurant for Wedding & Reception
Hello,
My fiance and I are planning to wed in Manhattan in February 2012. We are looking for a restaurant that can accommodate a party of 25-30 guests for a wedding ceremony and reception. Our DJ is an iPod, and our food budget is $125 p/person. We would like to stay under that amount p/person in regards to food.
We want a venue that can provide the cake, alcohol, and a three course meal (or a substantial meal).
In addition to this, if anyone has any ideas on where we can go after the reception, for a night of late night dancing with our guests, it would be much appreciated!
Thank you for any help you can provide!!

i'll be married in October and have recently spent a lot of time looking at restaurants in Manhattan for our reception. ultimately, we decided on Del Posto. i had interest in Locanda Verde, mostly because their price was more in line with our desired budget. unfortunately, the room couldn't accommodate our party of 50+, but it might work for a group of 30. the location is great for transitioning into your second round.
i had also looked at Cotta in UWS. the back room upstairs is nice, but may be more casual than you'd want for a wedding depending on what type of event you're planning.

re: NYCBRIDE
Del Posto may be above your budget. Depends on where you draw the line on food and drinks. I'd also recommend checking Hundred Acres. Again, too small for our needs, but I remember the price being reasonable. Good luck and congratulations. Ms. Coasts and I are just finalizing our cake with Momofuku.
