As long as you're not picky about certain types of dishes or preparations, if you're going to Sona you might as wll do the tasting menu, that's what the place is about. My experience has been it's hit or miss, some or spectacular, some are blah.

Personally I've come to prefer the appetizer, entree, dessert way of eating, but to each his own.

Yeah, I do have a few intolerances- gluten, dairy, red meat- so that's what worries me...

They are very accommodating. Just tell them what you don't like or are allergic to and they will work around it. However, as another poster noted, not every dish works but I always admire the effort.

I'd recommend the tasting menu as the way to experience Sona. Just tell them what you prefer and don't like, and they'll create a fantastic foodie experience geared toward your predilections!

I have never had a bad experience there. I have done the tasting menu and ordered a la carte.

They are more than accomodating with regard to special needs, and those are some pretty vast food intolerances. I would love a review to hear how they handle it.
