Mariano's Grocery in Arlington Heights etc.

There has been a predilection lately for a different kind of grocery experience. Suddenly we have Fresh Farms & Tony's in Niles, the expansion of Produce World and now Mariano's in A.H. I have to say that I am liking it.

It's nice to not have to go to 3-4 stores to get what I want and I like the ready-made options if I am so inclined. For example: the Italian sausage and peppers at Mariano's. I like the ethnic sections for Asian Indian or British clotted cream. It's good that I can buy a small amount of the onion rye instead of a huge loaf. I also buy the european-style butter at Mariano's. They make a mean berry pie too.

What do you folks think and are there any items you have found that are worth trying?
