ISO Blue Bell Ice Cream in the Triangle

TerryG Sep 3, 2011 11:06 AM

Over in the General Chowhounding Topics Board, they are raving about Blue Bell Ice Cream. Apparently it's now available in Charlotte and Greensboro. Anyone spotted any in the Triangle? Am coveting the Blackberry Crumble.

    I like Homemade Vanilla myself.

Carrabba's has one or two flavors on the dessert menu. A 2007 thread found on the internet says that Piggly Wiggly in Pittsboro carries 10 or 15 flavors.

I would check either your local Walmart or Walgreen's. I have not seen the blackberry crumble in my area which is Rockingham but I have been able to get many different flavors in Rockingham, Marion and Boone at various times before.

Side note: my personal favorite is Pralines n Cream.

Rockingham and the mountain cities look like they are within the distribution area,

You might be interested in an article from the Houston Chronicle this morning. Bluebell should be getting more available for you.

I'm guessing that the blackberry, like many Bluebell flavors is seasonal, and it might just be gone till next summer. They have us trained to get them while we can :-)
