Anything good in Niles (Fremont)?

Tonight I'm going to the silent movie theater in downtown Niles, a little town that was gobbled up by Fremont, and am looking for a decent/interesting place to eat.
I'm not necessarily looking for anything great, just suggestions for a decent meal, not too expensive. Interesting cuisine would be nice, (But no Indian -- my wife can't handle that anymore.)
And if there's a great find there, I wouldn't turn that down either.

  1. you have some good Afghan (more similar to Persian, pretty different than Indian, though the Moguls came from Afghanistan) options, and quite a few Chinese spots with non-Cantonese places in the mix. Yum's Bistro has been praised here, but those who dine regularly in the area should be able to help you.

    1. in fremont, qq noodles and palace chef on thorton are good options for hand pulled noodles.
heartell service at yum's is on the slow side so you need to budget more time. (haven't been there),
