Migraine Friendly Restaurants/ Dishes in DC or NOVA

I'm new to the DC/ NOVA area and really enjoy eating out. Unfortunately, I get migraines from food triggers. I'd like some suggestions of trigger-free dishes at restaurants in DC or NOVA from fellow migraine sufferers who look out for this stuff as well.

What about simple seafood preparations with grilled veggies? I eat that a lot due to some dietary restrictions I have. Then you could do Blacksalt, Hook, maybe DC Coast, Proof or Corduroy, most can do some simple preparations, of course I guess lemon is out as a citrus, so you may have to do a simple grilled with olive oil in which case Blacksalt may be best they have a grill and can easily accommodate such requests.

Perhaps Founding Farmers? Their fish menu is yummy and easy to customize - you can pick the method of preparation and the sides. They're also into fresh/sustainable food so I think it would be easy to avoid MSG and other chemicals.

I would check out the Neighborhood Restaurant Group's offerings; Tallulah, Rustico, Vermillion ...
Their menus tend to have a nice focus on seasonal, local food which I believe would expose you to your triggers a bit less.
The chefs are very good, and I think a call to any one of them could help mitigate your constraints.

You might want to list your food triggers, otherwise we can't be of much assistance.

Typical migraine food triggers include: MSG, nitrates, nitrites, avocado, banana, nuts, alcohol (especially red wine), chocolate, citrus fruits, dried fruits (like raisins), cheese, beans, anything pickled, yeast, canned soups, and no cured/processed/aged/canned meats.
In general, dairy, meat, carbs, and vegetables are fine.

It's different for everyone though (in my case, it's just raw garlic), so you might want to be specific about what you're looking for. Are you avoiding all of those foods 100%?

Ideally yes. But I'd settle for no foods marinated in alcohol, no MSG, no citrus fruits, no chocolate, banana, avocado, aged cheeses, and cured/aged meats.

My trigger is lavender ... so I'm no help at all.
