Breakfast place near or east of White House

Going from early White House tour to the Police Memorial, possibly on foot, or walk to Metro Center and take Metro to Judiciary Square...looking for a place to eat a decent breakfast somewhere in there. I know Old Ebbitt is close by--what else?

Other plans for breakfast othe rmornings are Teaism, Kramerbooks, Founding Farmers, Firefly, as examples, thanks.

Cafe du Parc does a nice breakfast and is situated just east of the White House.

Thanks--Cafe du Parc looks nice but maybe too expensive for breakfast. Breadline Id like to try but trying to avoid going west.

If you walk to Metro Center, you won't be far from Paul baker on Penn.

Two places very close to the White House - but on the west - do terrific breakfasts - G Street Food on G Street between 17th and 18th, and Breadline between 17th and Pennsylvania.

Breadline is only open on weekdays though.

If greasy spoon breakfast fits your description, the Lincoln's Waffle Shop on 10th Street NW across from Ford's Theater is a good spot.

There is a Teaism right by the White House....perhaps you can switch your plans and go there instead.
