Our CEO is in town and I need a recommendation that has great food, great service and a decent wine list...I know, very broad, but I don't want to recommend to him something that is too avant garde or ethnic...

He's a short cab ride from many great restaurants, but could walk to the North End for Prezza. Taranta's also a board favorite in the North End, but that might be slightly avant garde.

if he's in Boston proper and wants high end, Menton is probably the choice (assuming price is no object). if he wants a fabulous winelist and something a bit more intimate, I'd recommend Troquet.
