Need a Tasting Menu for GF Birthday Dinner

Any type of food is okay. I definitely want something that will blow her away given budget constraints. Hoping to keep food only, under $125 each. Thanks!

I would go to La Folie and order 5 courses, which winds up being 8 or 9 courses with all the little extras. If you are looking to give her an intellectual experience, Coi.

My vote would be Commis in Oakland. I and two other gfs have been, each on our birthdays and we each loved it. It's an experience that just feels special. Call ahead and the staff will even write a birthday card. Best thing: You can have both your meals for $138 total and money left for wine pairing.

You could do that easily at Commonwealth (tasting menu is $70). The food, wine, and service were great. The space isn't fancy though.

The tasting menu at Atelier Crenn is $125. But you could order off the regular menu for 4 courses each, and have something left for wine.
