Bertazzoni Ranges

We looked at a Bertazzoni 30" Gas Range in a showroom yesterday. We liked the look and feel of it but know nothing about the brand. Anyone have any experience with Bertazzoni Ranges?

I bought the Bertazzoni 36" Gas range a year ago, and was a bit nervous about my purchase since they aren't well known in the US. There were some negative reviews, mostly concerning the oven. But I rationalized that most people seemed to love their "Bertas". I decided to go for it; with the thought that not everyone is OK with no electronic push-button controls. After almost a year of struggling with the oven heating very slowly and not reaching high temps. I was very distraught. I didn't even want to use the oven. I finally called Bertazzoni Customer Service. The serviceman arrived within a day or two. He determined that there was a problem with the thermostat, ordered a new one, installed and tested it. I was so relieved and impressed with the service. Bertazzoni warrants their stove for 2 years. It works like a professionsal stove at a price much less than the well known "professional" high end ranges. I highly recommend the Bertazzoni!

New to the message boards here, and we are looking for an Italian stove. We came accross the Hallman Industries range at a distributor in Texas. Does anyone know about this brand? They have duel fuel and gas models for 36" and I can't seem to find a better price out there. They say it's manufactured by the same company in Italy that makes ranges for other brands. If anyone has experience with this product, I'd like to hear about it........Thanks John

        Hi John,
I saw this thread while searching for Bertazzoni reviews, and unfortunately I have run across some reviews related to Hallman that raised red flags for me. If you google Hallman you will see they are fairly new and very closely connected to Ben Hallman's retail op (Aus-Tx). The reviews of that operation that I saw can be found at www.yelp.com/biz/aus-tex-appliance-au.... Although I was considering ordering appliances from the online Aus-Tx.com and interested in finding out more about Hallman Industries products, after reading these reviews I am thinking, Run Away! There are good and bad reviews for every appliance on the web, so it seems to me it is a priority to buy from a source that has a good record for customer service in case the item you purchase turns out to have issues. To have garnered so many 1-star reviews and all reporting similar issues I would say Aus-Tx and Ben Hallman are doing a lot of things wrong. Does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling about appliances they front.
