Has First Bites bitten the dust?

First Bites at the top of Germantown Pike in Fairview Village (formerly Ava's Place, Benny's Bar-B-Que USA, Fat Freddie's Pizza, Grecco's, etc, etc.) has had an empty parking lot for a few weeks even though it looks like the interior remains in tact. Have we another abandoned luncheonette? I heard that the owner's were not doing well as Ava's Place and changed the name. It does seem to be the address of doom for any eatery.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it's gone. That location is the kiss of death; you simply cannot get in or out of there very easily most days with the traffic on Germantown Pike. They should just demolish it now to spare future attempts at making a go there which will keep failing.
