Italian Resturant for Saturday Night
Our plans just changed, and we need a great Italian restaurant for Saturday night. We are staying at the Setai and will travel for great food. We are from miami and are looking for New Yorks best! We love small restaurants with a real New York vibe. Thanks for all your help.
This Saturday, as in a few days from now?
How much are you looking to spend just on food? It's easier to help if you give a per person food cost (like $50pp).

While I like Babbo better for the food alone ... more rusticity and provides more regional variety than its peers; the service at Marea is much better. Food at Marea is no slouch either.
If this matters to you, Babbo's robust wine list, imho, also extends to a wider range of budget and regions (Italy).

We're big fans of I Trulli on East 27th Street (East of Park Ave South). Excellent food and lovely setting.

We like Rossini's on E 38th. It's an old style Italian red sauce place. Great food and one night a week they have opera singers.
