Varick Street/ Holland Tunnel

Any Kosher eateries nearby?

Cafe 92Y Tribeca is right there. It's certified by Israel Meir Steinberg, whose hashgacha is not universally accepted. There are a bunch of restaurants a little further away, mostly hummus places or vegan places that are open on Shabbos, thus precluding them from having a national hechsher; they're either under Rabbi Steinberg or the IKC (Zev Schwarcz). You'd need to go further afield (eg to the Lower East Side, across town) to find something that's closed on Shabbos.

I've never been, don't know anyone who's been, and truly can't report on it one way or the other; I just went to a kosher website with a mapping function.

Ok thanks! So disappointing...Going to be in school there at least six hours a week.

good luck - there's a sandwich place across the street that sells fresh fruit - try that?
